Gather, Share, Support

The Free Community Meal and Resource Fair began in 2011 as the project of one person at one church who wanted to bring together the Ogden community to share a meal and hospitality.

Event planning grew to several people at several houses of faith and provided coats, haircuts and hygiene kits. A resource fair was added in 2015 to better connect the community to the services available. The event is now run by a standalone organization with no specific church affiliation. One does not need to belong to a faith community to volunteer or to attend.

The Free Community Meal attained 501(c)(3) status as a public charity on July 14, 2017. Contributions made on and after this date are tax deductible.
